  • How do I know that I am applying for a credible Ochsner job posting and working with an Ochsner recruiter? plus_icon minus_icon

    Ochsner’s recruitment and onboarding process is conducted by Ochsner team members and consists primarily of telephone calls, text, email and in-person interviews. Official emails come from an @ochsner.org email account. Prospective employees may be subject to additional screenings which may include drug testing, immunizations, and lab work, which take place at an Ochsner Employee Health location.

    Ochsner applicants can ensure that they are communicating with Ochsner team members by confirming email addresses and telephone numbers. We encourage all job seekers to search for and apply for positions at www.ochsner.org/careers. When in doubt, applicants are encouraged to call Ochsner HR Solution Center at 504-842-4748 or email careers@ochsner.org to confirm the identity of the individual.   • When will I be contacted by an Ochsner representative? plus_icon minus_icon

    As we are evaluating your qualifications, we may contact you to provide additional information. In this case, you will receive a notification with instructions. You can check the status of your application by logging into your candidate home. Candidate Profile.

  • I am having issues submitting my application. What should I do? plus_icon minus_icon

  • What is my application status? I haven’t heard anything. plus_icon minus_icon

    You may log-in and check the status of your application online at any time. On your job page, you will see all of the positions to which you applied. If there is a change in your status, it will be listed on your candidate home.

  • Do I need a resume to apply? plus_icon minus_icon

    While we offer you the option to upload your resume, it is in your best interest to fill in each field manually. This will ensure that you receive full credit for all of your work experience, skills and education.

  • What if I forgot my password or it doesn’t work? plus_icon minus_icon

    • Please go to https://www.ochsner.org/careers Click on Search Jobs > Check Application
    • Select Forgot your password? and enter the Email address used to create candidate account, then, Reset Password.
    • Candidate will receive one of two notifications after resetting their password:
      • Success = "You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password if an account exists for this email address." Candidate should follow the instructions in the email sent to them to reset their password.
        • Candidate will receive email that says "Click this link to reset your password...(reset link)... The link will expire after 2 hours." Candidate should Copy/Paste the full link into their browser if they cannot directly click into it from the email notification.
        • After doing so, they should see the Reset Password screen below. Follow the password requirements then Submit. Reminder candidate may need to wait 30 minutes before trying again if account is locked.
      • Error = "Failed to initiate password reset, please contact administrator." If you are receiving this error, it is because we do not have a candidate account with the email address provided on file. Please type in the correct email address associated with your candidate account. If the email associated with your account had a typo and is incorrect and/or you no longer have access to that email, please create a new candidate account. For additional support, reach out to MyHR@ochsner.org or call 504-842-4748, Option 6 and provide a good email address and contact number.
  • Do I need to apply for each position individually? Can I just submit a general resume? plus_icon minus_icon

    To be formally considered for a specific job, you must apply directly to that job posting; however, if you are applying to multiple positions, you have the option to auto-fill from your last application.

  • How many jobs can I apply to? plus_icon minus_icon

    You are welcome to apply to as many job postings as you desire; however, it is important that you apply to jobs that interest you most and best match your qualifications.

  • What is the pay range for a position? plus_icon minus_icon

    Any concerns regarding pay can be addressed when contacted by a recruiter.

  • Will I be automatically disqualified if I list a criminal history? plus_icon minus_icon

    Ochsner is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Disclosing a criminal offense does not automatically disqualify you from consideration. During the application process, you will be asked to disclose information regarding criminal offenses. Failure to disclose an occurrence could hinder your employment status.

  • How do I withdraw my application? plus_icon minus_icon

    • Visit https://ochsner.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Ochsner/login and log in to your candidate profile.
    • Scroll down to the “My Application Section” and look at your “Active” applications
    • Find the application you’d like to withdrawal, select the three dots next to that application and click “Delete Application”
    • A confirmation screen will pop up and you need to click “Delete” at the bottom to withdrawal your application
  • I can't log into my profile. plus_icon minus_icon

    If you're experiencing difficulty logging in, please ensure that you are using the correct login credentials. If the issue persists, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page to reset your password.

  • How do I update or add to my resume or application that I have already submitted? plus_icon minus_icon

    Unfortunately, Workday does not allow an application to be edited after it has been submitted, this includes attachments. Any changes can be conveyed to your recruiter during your phone screen.

  • I was rejected because I currently work for Ochsner but applied as an external candidate. plus_icon minus_icon

    The rejection letter you received contains specific instructions on how to apply as an internal candidate. Be sure to follow these steps, as internal applications follow a different process than external ones. You can log into Workday http://workday.ochsner.org to re-apply for the position internally by accessing the Jobs Hub from the Workday Apps Menu. From there, you can click Browse Jobs to search for the job you are interested in and re-apply. To easily find the job you originally applied to, you can search for the REQ number listed at the footer of the rejection email you received for the external application.

  • I missed a call from my recruiter, what should I do? plus_icon minus_icon

    If you missed a call from your recruiter, we recommend checking your voicemail for any messages or instructions. You can also respond to any emails or texts from the recruiter or call them back directly. If you’re unable to reach them, leave a voicemail and they will follow up with you as soon as possible.

  • What does the status of my application mean? plus_icon minus_icon

    • Application Received: Your application is complete and in our system. It has not yet been reviewed by the recruiter.
    • Application in Progress: Your application is currently being reviewed by the recruiter and/or the hiring team. This status remains throughout the recruiting process, including steps such as phone screens and interviews. If an offer is extended, this status includes the preboarding requirements like your background check and employee health appointments.
    • Welcome: Congratulations! You’ve accepted a job with Ochsner and completed all preboarding requirements. You’re now cleared to start on your designated date.
    • Process Completed: Your application is no longer under consideration. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as the job being closed or filled, a decision made by the recruiter and/or hiring team not to move forward, or your decision to withdraw. This is job-specific, so if you applied for multiple openings, you may still be under consideration for those roles.
  • I scheduled an appointment with Olivia and the hiring manager or recruiter did not show up. What are the next steps? plus_icon minus_icon

    We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this. Please text Olivia (the virtual assistant) or contact your recruiter directly to confirm the reason for the missed appointment and reschedule. Our team will prioritize getting you rebooked as quickly as possible.

  • I have changed my email address; how do I update it on my candidate account? plus_icon minus_icon

    Log in using your original email that was entered when creating your account. Once in your candidate account, at the top of your home page select the Settings (gear) icon then Change Email. After you have successfully updated your email address, please use that email to log in moving forward.
